The Hon. Rajinder Rai-Nielsen, ’01, started her own law practice three years ago in Reno, Nevada. She previously served as an administrative law judge for 10.5 years under three different Nevada governors.

Rai-Nielsen decided to pursue her legal education at McGeorge because of the knowledgeable faculty, who continually demonstrate their love of both teaching

Brian Gurwitz, ’94, has extensive experience in trial and appellate courts. He said McGeorge School of Law prepared him for his career because the school’s curriculum teaches both practical lawyering skills and the theory of law.

Gurwitz is a certified criminal lawyer specialist in Orange County, who represents clients in state and federal cases.

Robert “Bob” C. MacKichan Jr., ’76, is a partner at Holland & Knight in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office. MacKichan’s practice involves decades of experience in litigation, government contracts, real estate and public policy issues associated with federal government real estate.

Katharine Baragona, ’90, serves as Senior Infrastructure Finance Specialist for the World Bank in Washington, D.C. Baragona develops financing structures and risk mitigation support that is used by fragile conflict violence-affected countries to attract private sector investment into their power sectors. Through her job, Baragona often travels to Lebanon, Jordan, Yemen, Palestine, and Iraq

Jaime Bowker, ’23, gained legal experience through McGeorge’s Legislative and Public Policy Clinic during law school.

I was set on starting my legal career at McGeorge School of Law because of the Water and Environmental Law Concentration and the Capital Lawyering Concentration. In my undergraduate studies, I took a
