Marissa Flores, ’23, founded the Womxn of Color Collective at McGeorge School of Law and served as the organization’s president for the past two years. She started the student organization in order to empower and amplify the voices of Womxn of Color in law school and the legal profession. Flores also served as co-president of McGeorge’s Latinx Law Students Association.
Before coming to law school, Flores worked in the California State Legislature for several years. She was inspired to further her education at McGeorge School of Law after speaking to McGeorge alumni working in the Legislature about the connections, networking, and opportunities that a McGeorge education provides to its students and alumni.
